Joel had spent nearly two decades in the spotlight and only continued to grow in popularity and prominence. on August 29, 1990, he performed at Jones Beach in his hometown of Long Island, NY as a benefit for the Bay and the Baysmen, one of a few shows benefiting the local fishermen. The fishing industry fell upon hard times in Long Island in 1990 due to a ban on striped bass, as well as scallops falling on hard times. This original Billy Joel shirt, with light spots and wear, is from his 1990 benefit concert for the East End Bays And Baysmen.
