Many animals have evolved to help themselves camouflage in with the environment. This helps them from being seen, and therefore from being eaten. Humans in turn have tried to create the same effect by creating clothing that blends into its surroundings. Camo is now known as the military's uniform, with each country having their own specific style. Take Flecktarn for example, a disruptive camo utilized by Germany to help blend into the temperate woodland terrain. The thing is, though, it looks good. So as civilians it helps us stand out rather than fade away. These vintage Flecktarn camo field pants from the 90s are nicely worn and lightly faded.
