By the time Uncle Tupelo released Anodyne, their fourth album, in 1994 the Illinois-based alt country group had together for seven years. They had worked their way up from small independent labels to the big time, eventually signing with Sire. But sadly, inner band tensions caused the Uncle Tupelo to split after Anodyne's release. The band members split up, with some forming Son Volt and the rest going on to Wilco. This original Uncle Tupelo shirt, with light fraying on the collar, is from their US tour in support of their final album, 1994's Anodyne.
