Alaska is, as of now, the penultimate State to be added to the United States. Clocking in at over 600,000 square miles, is the largest state in the country. It sits far north in the on the Pacific ocean, connected only to Canada with no other border to any other United State. Alaska obviously has its own amazing history and heritage. There are numerous indigenous groups that have lived in the area for thousands of years.
