Zapp is a funk band from Dayton, OH founded in 1977. Frontman Roger Troutman had been singing with groups for years, but he combined forces with his brothers to form Zapp. They found success fairly quickly, thanks in part to support from members of Parliament Funkadelic. In 1988, in between releasing their third and fourth albums, Zapp Featuring Roger went to Japan. Roger had been focusing much of his energy on his solo career around that time, but the group still had plenty energy in them. This original Zapp Featuring Roger shirt, lightly worn in great condition, is from their 1988 Japanese tour.
