Yngwie Malmsteen is a bit of an oxymoron. He's a shredding metal guitarist but he really plays classical music on the guitar. Normally, when you think of classical guitar music, you're thinking of acoustic guitar with nylon strings playing complex baroque melodies with intricate harmonies. Malmsteen did that on a Fender Strat with distortion sped up to dastardly speeds. In 1986, he released his third album aptly titled Trilogy. The record charted across the world, going to #44 on the Billboard Charts. It is still regarded as one of his best albums. This original Yngwie Malmsteen shirt, in excellent condition, is from the January 1987 dates of his world tour in support of Trilogy.
