WarZone were a hardcore band from New York City. Founded in 1983, they were involved in the first wave of hardcore bands. However, it wasn't until the next wave, when Ray "Raybeez" Barbieri moved from drums to vocals, that they became the band we know and love. They incorporated elements of old New York with modern styles to create something all their own, a sound that would go on to largely define hardcore. Their debut 7", Lower East Side Crew, was the first release on Revelation, and they followed it up with classic albums like Don't Forget The Struggle, Don't Forget The Streets and Open Your Eyes. Eventually, the band, which always featured Ray but had many other members as well, signed to Victory and ended up releasing three LPs with them. Sadly, the band ended when Raybeez passed away in 1997. He was 35. This original WarZone show flyer, in excellent condition, is from a show in Montreal on September 20 with One For One and Blood Sausage.
