The Walt Disney animated film The Lion King debuted in 1994. The movie, which was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, was produced in the middle of the so-called "Disney Renaissance," when Disney produced a number of critically acclaimed movies, including Beauty And The Beast, The Little Mermaid, and The Hunchback Of Notre Dame. The Lion King brought back some familiar behind-the-scenes faces as well as some of the big Hollywood stars to tell a moving and captivating story about a young lion prince named Simba and his trials and tribulations, all with great music and visuals. The movie ended up making nearly $1 billion at the box office and has gone on to be regarded as a classic. This original The Lion King shirt, nicely worn in and faded, is from the film's DVD release in 2003.
