Over the course of two dates in January 1995, the 14th and 15th, a group of amazing bands got together to support Voters For Choice, a political action committee that supported pro-choice candidates. Grunge legends Pearl jam headlined with rock n roll icon Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse as well as alt rockers L7 and singer songwriter Lisa Germano rounding out the amazing concert. The show was in a small 3,500 seated theater and tickets had to be acquired via a postcard lottery since Pearl Jam was at odds with Ticketmaster. It obviously sold out instantly and money and awareness was raised for an important cause. Just because it was serious doesn't mean that the show wasn't fun, though. The bands played amazing sets. Neil Young fan site Thrashers Wheat wrote that, "Crazy Horse electric really brings the song alive with grungy, simmeringintensity. Crunching and stomping, Neil and the Horse soundedtight and played for keeps." This original Voters For Choice benefit shirt, nicely worn and faded, is from the 1995 benefit concert featuring Pearl Jam, Neil Young, L7, and Lisa Germano.
