The Utah Jazz are a professional basketball team. They were founded in New Orleans in 1974 and moved to Salt Lake in 1979. While the franchise had a rocky start, they solidified themselves as serious playoffs contenders during the tenures of the superstars Karl Malone and John Stockton in the 90s, both of whom have been inducted into the NBA Hall Of Fame since.
