Unwound was a band from Washington state founded, as the shirt says, in 1991. They released eight albums during their career, including 1994's New Plastic Ideas and their final Leaves Turn Inside You in 2001. They released the majority of their records on the Kill Rock Stars label, before ultimately re-releasing their entire catalog with the archival label The Numero Group out of Chicago. Unwound were one of those bands who were classified as post hardcore and had vague musical terms descriptors used on them, like how they had their "angular" guitar parts, but really Unwound were just a cool band that played electric guitars. This single-stitched shirt, lightly worn and faded, is from the mid 90s.
