Turning Point were a straight edge hardcore band from New Jersey. They formed in 1988 and over the course of their short tenure they released a demo, a 7", an LP, and a split, along with a few comp appearances. They started out as a band influenced by Youth Of Today with fast, aggro songs about betrayal but evolved into something all their own as time went on. TP began to incorporate more melodic elements into their music with introspective and vulnerable lyrics, which was best documented on their only LP, 1990's It's Always Darkest... Before The Dawnon New Age Records. They broke up in 1991 and members went on to play in different bands, but Turning Point only grew in popularity after their split. This original Turning Point shirt, which has been professionally altered on the sides and sleeves, is from the band's latest era, around the release of their LP.
