Tom Petty formed The Heartbreakers in 1976. After the break up of his first band Mudcrutch, Petty went out on his own starting a new band. They found quick success with their debut self-titled album and basically just kept going from there. The band released 13 albums, including 1991's Into The Great Wide Open, and were regarded as one of the best rock bands out there for basically their whole career. Sadly, Petty passed away in 2017. This original late Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers shirt from 1991, nicely faded with light discoloration around the collar and shoulders, is from his Touring The Wide Open Tour in support of The Great Wide Open.
