Vintage Tom Of Finland "Tom's Men" Velcro Strap Hat

Tom Of Finland was an artist who began creating explicitly homoerotic art beginning in the 1950s. His early work played with the boundaries of US censorship, which made apparent depictions of homosexuality and gay pornography illegal, but by the 1970s when male nudity was decriminalized Tom's work became both more explicit and more mainstream. Now, Tom Of Finland's art has become iconic in the gay community and the art world at large. His work is in collections such as MoMA, San Francisco Museum Of Modern Art, Los Angeles County Museum Of Art, and many more. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 71. This vintage Tom Of Finland hat is nicely worn in.
