The Strokes formed in 1998 in New York City. The indie band took two years to just practice and get things right, and by 2001, they were ready to record their debut EP. They sent the record to Rough Trade who quickly agreed to put out the three songs, "The Modern Age," "Last Nite," and "Barely Legal." Almost instantly, the record set off a bidding war which ended in the Strokes signing to RCA and releasing Is This It?, the Platinum-certified, era-defining album. This original The Strokes shirt, in excellent condition, is from the 2001 release of their debut EP The Modern Age on Rough Trade.
