The Smiths released their live album Rank in 1988, shortly after their breakup. The show was actually recorded two years prior to its release, on October 23, 1986 at the National Ballroom in Kilburn, London. It was originally broadcast on BBC Radio 1. It's a great artifact of the British band in their prime, Johnny Marr playing his intricate riffs with perfect precision and Morrissey crooning and yelping about all while Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce hold the rhythm section down perfectly. They even had a second guitarist at this gig, Craig Gannon who had appeared on a few Smiths singles, to really fill out the sound. This original Smiths poster, folded with some tears, pinholes, and discoloration, is an original promotional piece for their 1988 live album Rank.
