The show followed the Flinstone family and friends — parents Fred and Wilma Flinstone, their daughter Pebbles, and pet Dino; neighbors Barney, Betty, and Bam Bam Rubble; and community members like George Slate and the Great Gazoo — around their daily life in the peaceful, Stone Age town of Bedrock. In its time, The Flinstones was the longest running, most successful cartoon, and was only dethroned a few decades later by The Simpsons.
