The Doors were a rock band from Los Angeles, CA formed in 1965 by singer Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robert Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. The band was signed to Elektra Records during their stint as house band at the famous Whiskey A Go Go in 1966 and began making records that very same year. Their debut self-titled album was released in the first week January 1967 and featured the number one single "Light My Fire." The Doors would continue touring and releasing multiple records a year until Morrison's untimely death in 1971. The band continued as a three-piece for two more years before ultimately disbanding. The Doors are regarded as one of the most important bands of all time, despite their relatively short tenure. This vintage Doors tie dye shirt from the early 90s, in great condition with a small hole near the print, features a portrait of the band's singer, the late Jim Morrison.
