The Teen Idles were a hardcore band from Washington, DC. The band was founded in 1979 by a group of teenagers. They began playing in the recently-formed DC scene and eventually made it all the way out to California to play a short stint of shows. After returning, they recorded their songs at Inner Ear studios but broke up shortly after. They used the band fund to release their recordings on a 7", a record entitled Minor Disturbance released in 1980, and with that bassist Ian MacKaye and drummer Jeff Nelson started Dischord Records. The two of them would go on to form Minor Threat. This vintage fan made Teen Idles shirt from the late 90s, in excellent condition, features the album art to the band's posthumously released Minor Disturbance 7".
