Vintage Swervedriver "Mezcal Head" T-Shirt

Swervedriver are a rock band from Oxford, England founded in 1989. In 1993, they released their sophomore album Mezcal Head on the legendary Creation Records. Because of their association, the band was often lumped in with shoegaze scene, but their sound was a bit more rockin and straightforward than their peers and label mates. They did, after all, open up this record with borrowing the riff from Mayhem's "Deathcrush." The band supported Mezcal Head by touring at home in the UK as well as big tours in the US with bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Shudder To Think. Despite a lengthy hiatus at the beginning of the 21st century, Swervedriver remain active to this day, regularly releasing new music and touring. This original Swervedriver shirt, nicely worn and faded in great condition, is from the band's 1993 album Mezcal Head
