Superchunk released No Pocky For Kitty, their sophomore album, on Matador in 1991. The group from Chapel Hill, NC had formed two years prior and had kept quit busy. No Pocky was recorded in Chicago with legendary engineer and producer Steve Albini. The record showcased their songwriting ability and laid a foundation that the band still exists on today. Decades later, and Superchunk is still recording and touring regularly. This was their last record with original drummer Chuck Garrison who left shortly before its release. He was replaced by Jon Wurster who is still in the band today. This original Superchunk poster, with pinholes and corner wear, is from the release of 1991's No Pocky For Kitty.
