Star Wars is, of course, the much loved sci-fi franchise created by George Lucas in 1977. The movie is one of the most classic films in history, with relatable characters set in fantastical space. Artist Tom Jung illustrated a promotional poster for the film in 1977 but 20th Century Fox decided it was too dark, and with 36 hours to deadline contacted the Hildebrandt Brothers, twins Greg and Tim, to recreate the poster. This poster, known as style B, used the same layout from Jung's work but changed it slightly. The poster was created without seeing the actors, so the likeness to Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia are slightly off, though it still became an iconic image. This original Star Wars poster, never hung in great condition, is a great example of the Hildebrandt Brothers' Style B poster for the 1977 film.
