In 1987, Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys, two of the biggest rap groups in the entire world, joined forces for a tour they dubbed Together Forever. The two were both label mates on Def Jam Records. It was actually their second tour together, as the two had also gotten together for 1986's Raising Hell tour. It was an off-album cycle tour for both groups. Run-DMC was still supporting Raising Hell, their third album which was certified three-times Platinum, while Beastie Boys were still supporting Licensed To Ill, which has since been certified Diamond, but both were gearing up for new records. The tour lasted three months, from June to August, and hit all the major cities in the US. This original Together Forever tour shirt, nicely worn in with light discoloration and ink bleeding, is from Run-DMC and Beastie Boy's 1987 tour.
