Vintage Right Brigade "Boston" T-Shirt

Boston's Right Brigade released their demo in 1998 on Standhard Records. This was at at time in Boston when Ten Yard Fight and In My Eyes were the city's best known exports and when referencing Youth of Today's We're Not In This Alone became a foundational aesthetic for the Youth Crew revival. Right Brigade did the opposite, they were named after the Bad Brains song and their approach was definitely not positive (even if Right Brigade singer was coming from positive CTHC band Follow Through). They played a, dare I say, much darker style of hardcore. By the time Right Brigade released their 7" on Stillborn Records in 1999, American Nightmare, who also featured Jesse Standhard on bass, was beginning and continued on this darker New England HC sound, while adding more emotionally introspective lyrics, and took the hardcore world by storm. The hardcore sea change that started at the turn of the millennium starts, in part, with Right Brigade. This original Right Brigade shirt, lightly worn in excellent condition, is an early design from the Boston hardcore band.
