The Ramones formed in Queens, NY in 1974 making them arguably the first punk band. The band came out of the gate wearing ripped jeans and leather jackets, impressing everyone who saw them at clubs like CBGB or Max's Kansas City. Only two years after forming, the band released their debut self-titled album on Sire in 1976 after they were signed by music industry guru Seymour Stein. That was just the beginning for the Ramones. For the next 20 years, they would write and record 14 albums, like 1984's Too Tough To Die, all while touring nonstop. They brought their melodies at break neck speeds to all corners of the globe, becoming a household name in the process. They were even inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. This original Ramones shirt, nicely worn and faded, is from their eighth album Too Tough To Die in 1984.
