Raid were a vegan straight edge hardcore band from Tennessee founded in 1989. While Youth Of Today penned the pro-vegetarian anthem "No More" shortly before their founding, Raid were interested in taking things further. The band was instrumental in the creation of the hardline scene that unapologetically focused on animal rights, sobriety, and radical ecology. They released a demo and 7" before releasing their debut LP, Above The Law, on Hardline Records, the label ran by Vegan Reich's Sean Muttaqi. Raid recorded one final batch of songs before breaking up which was released on Victory Records posthumously as Hands Off The Animals. This original Raid shirt, nicely worn in great condition, is from the Above The Law era and features lyrics to their song "Cultured Sadism."
