Probot was a project started by Dave Grohl, the drummer of such bands as Nirvana and Scream and the guitarist and singer of Foo Fighteres. Grohl wanted to pay tribute to the heavy metal bands he grew up listening to, so he started a collaborative solo project where he would write one song in the style of a particular band and then get the musician that influenced it to be a guest. So for example, for the doom metal tracks, he featured Eric Wagner of Trouble and Wino from The Obsessed, and for the black metal leaning song, he had Cronos from Venom, and for the driving motorcycle metal song "Shake Your Blood," he had Lemmy from Motörhead, and so on and so forth. The Probot record was released by Souther Lord in 2004 and went to #68 on the Billboard charts. This original Probot promotional t-shirt, in great condition, is from 2004.
