Babatunde Olatunji was a Nigerian percussionist. He came to the United States in 1950 to attend school at Morehouse College and wound up signing to Columbia Records shortly thereafter. His debut record was called Drums Of Passion and was released in 1960. Olatunji also called his band by the same name. King Sunny Adé is a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, perhaps best known for his singing and guitar playing. He signed to Island Records in 1982 which brought him international success and has continued touring and playing on the world scale ever since. In 1987, the two met at the World Music Super Jam on June 14, 1987. This original shirt, with a few light marks below the print, is from Olatunji and King Sunny Adé's appearance at Connecticut's World Music Super Jam in 1987.
