Growing up in rural Oklahoma — Pryor, just about 45 miles due east of Tulsa — we, like everyone else, were always most excited about summer. We'd climb down to the creek and spend our days skipping rocks and telling stories, then as the nights cooled down we'd head over to whoever's place to continue our leisurely hang, replacing the cool creek water with some ice cold cans of whatever. It was a beautiful and simple time. Now that I'm older I can't lay out on the creek all day but the summer's warmth always brings a beautiful care-free attitude to my life and makes our Oklahomian landscape even more serene. This vintage single stitch tee, nicely worn in with a few paint marks on the sleeve, features a great depiction of a nice Oklahoma summer.
