Nike started running the Bo Knows campaign in 1989. By that point in his career, Bo Jackson was already a Heisman Award winner and a dominant player with both the Los Angeles Raiders and the Kansas City Royals. That's two different sports if you didn't know, football and baseball, and both of them at the professional level. Bo was advertising his Nike shoe, the Air Max Trainer, and it worked, because we all still know this phrase. Part of their campaign was getting another famous Bo, rock god Bo Diddley, to take part in some ads. Diddley is an early rock n roll star who laid the foundation for what rock n roll would become, a beloved guitarist and innovator. This vintage Nike shirt, in good condition, features a portrait of Bo Diddley for their Bo Knows ad campaign from 1989.
