Next Step Up is a hardcore band from Baltimore, MD founded in 1991. In 1993, they released their debut LP, Heavy. An incredibly straight forward and truthful name if there ever was one. The record, which featured ten unrelenting hardcore songs, was co-released by Endgame Records and Shadow Records, a label ran by the band's guitarist Mike Ayres. Shadow only lasted for a few years but Ayres went on to be involved in other labels over the years, and Next Step Up continued releasing records mostly on German label Gain Ground. This original Next Step Up Heavy flyer is in great condition.
