The New York Cosmos are a professional soccer team. They originally began playing in the North American Soccer League in 1971 and were home to some of the biggest names in the sport. Pelé played with the Cosmos from 1975 to 77 after retiring from play in Brazil, Giorgio Chinaglia left Italy to come to the Cosmos in 76 and became the leading scorer in the NASL, and Franz Beckenbaur joined in 77 after a successful career at Bayern Munich. The Cosmos won five championships. And then, the NASL folded in 1985 and the Cosmos ceased to exist. The Cosmos were eventually reformed to play in a revamped NASL in 2013. This original New York Cosmos shirt, lightly worn with a few marks, is perfect for any fan.
