Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime written by Hideaki Anno. The show aired from 1995 until 1996 and quickly became regarded as one of the best ever. The story follows NERV, an organization that creates giant controllable cyborgs, known as Evangelions, which are piloted by teens as they try to battle off the aliens, known as Angels, attacking Tokyo. Due to it's popularity, Neon Genesis made a popular manga that ran until 2013, as well as movies, video games, and even pachinko machines.
