N.W.A. were a rap group from Compton, CA founded in 1987. Though their initial run only lasted four years, they completely revolutionized the entire genre and in large part American culture. They played unashamedly aggressive and political music influenced by their experiences and sold millions of records in the process. During their time together, they only released two albums. But after their breakup, in 1996, the released their Greatest Hits album. The record went to #48 on the Billboard charts. This original N.W.A. hat, lightly worn with a green underbill, is from the band's 1996 Greatest Hits album.
