Florida death metal band Morbid Angel released their debut album, Altars Of Madness, in 1989 through Combat in the States and Earache in the UK. They had formed six years earlier. The record is regarded as one of the most important in the entire genre, laying the foundation for many different metal bands with their satanic lyrics and aggressive musicianship. They are still together to this day, consistently recording and performing their brutal music, but it all started with this amazing record. This original two-sided Morbid Angel shirt, nicely faded with light pit marks, is from the release of their debut Altars Of Madness.
