After the dissolution of the Velvet Underground in the early 70s, the group's legendary drummer Moe Tucker stepped back from music to focus on her family. In the 80s, she began playing music again, with an odd cast of characters. Her second solo record Life In Exile After Abdication came out in 1989 on a label called 50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Watts Records, which was initially ran by the brothers Jad and David Fair of 1/2 Japanese, and later fell into the stewardship of Penn Gillette, a known 1/2 Japanese superfan. Life in Exile featured Moe on vocals and guitar on most of the songs, with everyone from the Fair brothers to Daniel Johnston to Lou Reed playing a supporting role.
This double-sided 8.5x11" sheet is promoting the album, plus other releases on the label.
