Metallica are a thrash metal band who were formed in Los Angeles, CA in 1981. The band moved to the Bay Area in 1983 which is were they solidified their lineup with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Cliff Burton, and Kirk Hammett. The band released Kill 'Em All, their debut, in 1983 on the independent Megaforce Records. The record was good. Really good. They followed it up in 1984 with their sophomore record, Ride The Lightning, which was honestly even better. This one had "For Whom The Bell Tolls." It had "Creeping Death." It had everything we came to know and love about Metallica, and the masses loved it too, as Metallica was signed by Elektra two months after the album was released and soon began their ascent to becoming one of the most popular bands of al time. This original two-sided Metallica Ride The Lightning tee from 1994, nicely faded, features the iconic album art on front.
