Metallica are a trash metal band. Probably the trash metal band. They were founded in Los Angeles, CA in 1981 and moved to the Bay shortly where they have been based out of ever since. The band has always been led by guitarist and singer James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and lead guitarist Kirk Hammet has been with the band basically since the beginning. Bassist Cliff Burton sadly died in an accident on tour and was replaced by Jason Newstead who later quit, later to be replaced by Tony Trujillo. The band has won Grammys and sold millions upon millions of records, making them the most popular and perhaps important metal band of all time. These original Metallica shorts, in excellent condition, are likely from the Garage Inc. era.
