Vintage MDC “Her$hey’s” T-Shirt

MDC are a punk hardcore band from Austin, TX formed in 1979, from the famous scene that spawned bands like Big Boys and The Dicks. They moved to San Francisco in the early 1980s and signed to Alternative Tentacles. Their name, originally Millions of Dead Cops, was abbreviated to MDC and changed to stand for several different things, including Millions of Dead Children and, as of very recently, Millions of Dead Cowboys. Their 1983 EP on Crass Records saw them using Multi-Death Corporations, what we see here on this shirt. This shirt references the Three Mile Island accident, which occurred in Dauphin County, near Hershey, PA where they make Hershey's chocolate, where the partial meltdown of a nuclear reactor caused a radiation leak. This original MDC shirt, in great condition, is a very subtle but harsh political jab that requires reading the fine print.
