Marilyn Manson released his song "The Beautiful People" in 1996. The song was the lead single to the band's second album, Antichrist Superstar. It was many peoples introduction to Manson, and it was a terrifying one at that. But despite its content and the song's aggressive nature, it didn't scare people away, in fact people were into it. It went to #29 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and even went to #1 on the UK's Rock & Metal chart. And that in turn helped fuel the success of the album, which went to #3 on the Billboard charts and was eventually certified Platinum. This original Marilyn Manson shirt, nicely worn and faded, is from when they released "The Beautiful People."
