The second national March On Washington For Lesbian And Gay Rights was held on October 11, 1987, eight years after the initial march. The movement had shifted much more into the public consciousness sadly because of the A.I.D.S. epidemic, but it created a massive turnout for people demanding answers from a conservative, right-wing government who sat idly by. Approximately 750,000 people gathered in our nation's capital. The following year, the first ever National Coming Out Day took place on the March's annivesary as a way to commemorate its success. This original March On Washington For Lesbian And Gay Rights from 1987 is in great condition with light marks and spots.
