Mad is a magazine founded in 1952. The publication focused on humor, creating satire and absurdist writing that defined generations of comedy. Nothing was safe from Mad, politics, music, and media, all were taken to task. And the literal face of the magazine was that of Alfred E. Neuman, the little mischievous mascot debuted in 1954 and has been a mainstay ever since. While the magazine is no longer printing original issues, it's significance in American cultural can't be overstated. This vintage Mad sweatshirt from the 1980s, nicely worn with a few light marks, features the Alfred E. Neuman-adorned cover of issue #132 from 1970.
