Lush released Lovelife, their fourth album, in 1996. The British shoegaze band was formed nearly a decade earlier, in 1987, and signed to 4AD right at the beginning of their career. They gained a following as a band who experimented with effects pedals, creating atmospheric tones as a backdrop to great songs that made them fan favorites across England. However, they turned away from this sound with the release of Lovelife and instead focused on a more straightforward, stripped down approach, more in line with the Britpop sound of that era. And this, too, resonated with fans. The album went to #8 on the UK Albums Chart. However, the band split up after touring on the record. They remained inactive for nearly 20 years before reuniting for a short stint in 2015. This original and rare Lush long sleeve shirt, in great condition with light marks throughout, is from the band's last album, 1996's Lovelife.
