After one of the best sets at Posi Numbers 2004, where people were legit hanging from the rafters of The Zoo like they were children on the monkey bars, Desperate Measures broke up. Even though they were only a band for a short period of time, they had momentum and a following. Almost immediately after the break up, former members started a new band with a DM roadie singing. They called it Lion Of Judah and they released their demo in 2004, the same year their previous band broke up. It was still hardcore but it was different, slightly faster with more overtly political lyrics and more intricate guitar licks. LOJ followed it up with a 7" on Lockin Out and an LP on Youngblood, all while touring pretty consistently. During this early era, they made a shirt for one of their shows with an illustration from a friend of the band named Fred. Apparently the design wasn't approved by all members, because when Ritter, the band's singer, saw the design at the show he took it off the merch table and refused to allow for it to be sold. This original Lion Of Judah shirt, in excellent condition, is one of the band's rarest tees, a fateful shirt that made it off the merch table before Ritter's rampage.
