Vintage Leeway "Born To Expire" T-Shirt

Leeway released Born To Expire in 1989 on Rock Hotel and Profile Records. The band had formed five years earlier in the vibrant New York hardcore scene but up until that point had a very small recorded output. That meant that the only way you could hear the band for the most part was to see them live. Leeway featured AJ Novello on guitar who played like he was in a thrash band and Eddie Sutton on vocals who had a laid back swagger and a high-pitched yet easily understandable yelp. With their debut album, they brought their heavy, hard, fast, metal-inspired hardcore to the masses. With a proper recording and big label support behind them, the band became one of the most popular and important bands of the late 80s and early 90s. Their following only grew as they  toured more and released three more albums until their breakup in 1996. This original single stitch Leeway shirt, in excellent condition, is from the band's debut album, 1989's Born To Expire.
