John Coltrane was a jazz saxophonist, one of the best who ever lived. His first big break came from playing with Miles Davis in the 50s, and for the next decade he pushed his playing and the entire genre into new directions. He mastered bop and in the 60s began moving towards free jazz, often molding the two together like on his 1964 album A Love Supreme. Sadly, Coltrane passed away in 1967 at the age of 40. He left behind an amazing discography and is still regarded as one of the best jazz musicians of all time. This vintage John Coltrane shirt, in great condition with fading and pilling, features a great photo of him by Michael Ochs ripping a solo.
