Jawbreaker are a punk band from the Bay Area, CA that was founded in New York City in 1986. Known for their poetic and often depressing lyrics, the band, which featured Blake Schwarzenbach on guitar and vocals, Chris Bauermeister on bass, and Adam Pfahler on drums, were active for a decade, writing and releasing four albums. Their first three records were released on various independent labels before singing to DGC, a major label, for the release of their final album Dear You in 1995. The scene rejected the band for this decision and the band broke up shortly after due to internal conflicts. Jawbreaker reunited in 2017 and have been active since. This late 90s Jawbreaker single stitch shirt, deadstock in excellent condition, features the artwork from the band's Whack & Blite EP which was released which was released on the band's own Blackball Records in 1989.
