Ghostbusters II, the second film in the Ghostbusters franchise, was released in 1989, five years after its predecessor. The movie was again written by Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis and directed by Ivan Reitman and featured the original cast of Akroyd, Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Rick Moranis and showed them once again ridding New York of ghosts and ghouls. And just like its predecessor, Ghostbusters II smashed the box office. The bad guy in this movie was an evil painting, Vigo, and, honestly, when they weren't being funny it got kind of scary. But it's a great and classic movie, and the franchise is still active to this day.
