E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial was released in 1982. The film, which was written by Mellisa Mathison and directed by Steven Spielberg, followed Elliot and his friends as they find an abandoned alien and try to help him get back home. E.T. won multiple Academy Awards and was a near-instant classic. For the film's 20th anniversary in 2002, Spielberg released a new cut of the film. This anniversary special included some deleted scenes and some reworked shots with the help of Industrial Light & Magic CGI. This reworked version grossed $68 million. This vintage two-sided E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial shirt, in great condition, is from the film's 20th anniversary re-release.
