Mickey Mouse was created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Since then, Mickey has gone on to be one of the most recognizable animated characters, appearing in movies and television shows and commercials and theme parks and you name it. One of his most notable early appearances was in 1940's Fantasia, Disney's monumental third animated film made with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Mickey was featured in the Sorcerer's Apprentice and it was actually considered a comeback part for him, as his popularity was declining in that era. Hard to imagine now. This vintage Mickey Mouse shirt, deadstock with original tags still attached, features Mickey as seen in Fantasia.
